Imagener Photoshop Photo Enlargement

Imagener from Kneson Software is a stand-alone program but directly enlarges Photoshop's native .PSD files to provide sharp, clear enlargement without pixelation.

Photoshop Photo Enlargement

While Photoshop® is amazing for many photo editing needs, photo enlargement is one area where other software can prove much more effective.

The photo below needed enlargement for use as a wall mural. This particular photo highlights detail areas where enlarging with photo enlargement software - in this case Imagener - produced a crisper, clearer, more detailed result.

This image was enlarged in both Photoshop and photo enlargement software that reads Photoshop's PSD file format directly. The end of the pier was then cropped from the result of each and stacked on top of each other with the Photoshop enlargement on the bottom and photo enlargement software Imagener's result on the top:

Photoshop was built for editing photos: photo enlargement really is not editing. Photo enlargement alters the entire image. While smaller enlargements will yield a satisfactory result, enlargements several times an image's original size will require photo enlargement software to obtain the desired sufficient sharpness and non-pixelated resolution.
