A smiley Dakota Fanning sends a tiny wave to the paparazzi’s way as she arrives at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon (May 4).

The 15-year-old actress, accompanied by mom Joy, is reportedly heading off to Italy to start filming New Moon.

Dakota has been cast as Jane, a high ranking guard in the Italian “royal family” named the Volturi who maintain a permanent residence in Volterra, located in Tuscany which is a region of Italy. She was 14 when Aro (Michael Sheen) changed her and her brother Alec (played by Cameron Bright) - saving them from being burnt at the stake for their “witch-like” abilities.
